Bbraun Askina® Heel (Box 5) is an anatomically shaped, non-adherent foam dressing that is specifically designed to treat heel ulcers. It is easy to use and provides a secure fit, even during movement.
Its ready to use, with no need for additional fixation devices. The anatomically shaped design provides a comfortable and secure fit, even around the malleolus (ankle bone). The pressure relieving foam helps to prevent the formation of pressure ulcers, and the good protection against friction and shear stresses reduces the risk of skin breakdown.
This product is indicated for the management of moderately to heavily exuding or partial to full-thickness wounds on the heel, including Stage I-IV pressure ulcers, surgical incisions, and first and second-degree burns.
